This website is about getting people involved and helping everyone to make the 2011 Census a success. For facts, figures, help and support - anything that’s relevant to the census - this is the place to come. From now until census day, 27 March 2011, the site will be open for members of the public and stakeholders to find out more about the 2011 Census and help spread the word, providing a comprehensive resource to:

Explain to the public why we are having a census, why it matters to them and why it’s important for them to take part
Help local authorities and community groups to encourage people to take part in the census
Download campaign, media, general public and operational support materials
Help deliver campaigns and support stakeholders throughout the 2011 Census
Support and report on the Census Coverage Survey (CCS)

A full online Media Centre will be open throughout the programme, featuring national, regional and local census news and images and a single point of contact for journalists and researchers.
