Around 35,000 census field staff will be recruited across England and Wales. Recruitment for address checkers and address checker co-ordinators started in January and completed in March. Area manager and community advisor recruitment started in May and was completed in July. The drive continues into autumn with 2011 Census questionnaire collectors, census compliance staff and census coverage survey teams. The recruitment campaign will run through to mid-2011.
